ANN HALLENBERG
Two new CD-releases in
September and October
Ann Hallenberg has appeared in many of Europe's most prominent opera houses; including Teatro alla Scala Milan, Teatro la Fenice Venice, Teatro Real Madrid, Theater an der Wien, Opernhaus Zürich, Netherlands Opera Amsterdam, Bayerische Staatsoper München and Semperoper Dresden. She has established herself as one of today's leading mezzo-sopranos.
Spending much of her time singing coloratura roles, both the new CD's showcases her in this repertoire. On one CD she embraces bel-canto arias by Rossini and others, on the other recording she sings the demanding role Merope in Vivaldi's opera L’oracolo in Messenia.
In both recordings Ann teams up with one of her most frequent collaborators; the conductor Fabio Biondi. In the Vivaldi opera she is joined by another Artefact artist and frequent colleague; the tenor Magnus Staveland.
