The Norwegian soprano Nina Gravrok studied music at the Agder University in Kristiansand and continued at the National Academy of Arts in Oslo.

Her opera engagements include Pamina in DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE at Oper Köln as well as at Oper Essen, Musetta in LA BOHÈME, First wood sprite in Rusalka, First lady in DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE and Madame Lidoine in LES DIALOGUES DES CARMÉLITES at the Norwegian National Opera, Cio Cio San in MADAMA BUTTERFLY with Opera Nordfjord, Bergen National Opera and with Trondheim Opera Theatre, Zerlina in DON GIOVANNI with Opera Island, Lauretta in GIANNI SCHICCHI with Trondheim Opera Theatre and the leading part in DER SCHÖNE TOD, a pasticcio with various opera arias, with the Arctic Opera.

She is a much sought-after concert singer and she has appeared with all major Norwegian orchestras; Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and Bodoe Sinfonietta

She regularly works with conductors such as Rinaldo Alessandrini, Stefan Blunier, Antonio Fugliani, John Helmer Fiore, Rolf Gupta, Terje Boye Hansen, Olav Henzholt, Kjell Ingebretsen, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Kirill Karabits, Andrew Litton, Michael Lloyd, Kazuzhi Ono, Rudolph Phielmayer, Per Kristian Skalstad, Karl-Heinz Steffens, Marc Soustrot, Markus Stenz, Peter Szilvay and Eivind Aadland.

Engagements during the last seasons have included Elsa in LOHENGRIN at Theater Bern, Elsa in LOHENGRIN, Donna Elvira in DON GIOVANNI, Musetta in LA BOHÈME, Antonia in LES CONTES D’HOFFMANN, Euridice in Gluck’s ORFEO ED EURIDICE, Sieglinde in a reduced version of DIE WALKÜRE at the Norwegian National Opera and Beethoven’s MISSA SOLEMNIS with Trondheim Symphony Orchestra.

Engagements in 2018 have so far included the title role in TOSCA at the Norwegian National Opera, Mendelssohn’s LOBGESANG in Bodø, Beethoven’s SYMPHONY NO. 9 in Molde and Kristiansund and concerts with arias by Mozart, Beethoven, Bellini, Puccini and Léhar in Halden, Sarpsborg, Fredrikstad and Moss.

Sopranen Nina Gravrok studerte musikk ved Universitetet i Agder og ved Operahøgskolen i Oslo.

Blant hennes operaengasjementer kan nevnes Pamina i Tryllefløyten ved Oper Köln og ved Oper Essen, Elsa i Lohengrin ved Theater Bern, Cio Cio San i Madama Butterfly med Opera Nordfjord, Musetta i La Bohème med Bergen Nasjonale Opera og med Trondheim Opera, Zerlina i Don Giovanni med Opera Island, Lauretta i Gianni Schicchi med Trondheim Opera, og en av de ledende rollene i Der Schöne Tod med Nordnorsk Opera og Symfoniorkester.

Oppgaver ved Den Norske Opera har inkludert tittlerollen i Tosca, Elsa i Lohengrin, Donna Elvira i Don Giovanni, Musetta i La Bohème, Antonia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann og Euridice in Glucks Orfeo ed Euridice. Sesongen 2018/19 er hun igjen å se ved Den Norske Opera, denne gangen som tittelrollen i Puccinis Suor Angelica.

Hun er en aktiv konsertsangerinne og har sunget med de aller fleste norske orkestre, som Oslo Filharmoniske Orkester, Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester, Trondheim Symfoniorkester, Stavanger Symfoniorkester, Kristiansand Symfoniorkester og Kringkastingsorkestret.
